WinSoft reinforces strategic development plan with the purchase of Algoba
Grenoble (France) 12 January, 2010 WinSoft International announced today an important step towards the continued development of the company as part of the business development plan being pursued by WinSoft International's Board of Directors, with its purchase of a majority stake in Algoba Systems. As part of its strategic development strategy defined and developed by WinSoft International founders Pierre Blangero (President) and Kamel Gaddas (CEO), the purchase of 85% of Algoba Systems represents a pivotal moment in the 24 year old company's five year plan for growth and development and an important step in the history of the company.
Algoba Systems will continue the vision developed by its own management team, who maintain 15% of its capital and who will work hand-in-hand with Mr. Blangero.
According to Mr. Blangero, there were three principle factors in WinSoft International's decision to purchase Algoba Systems:
- The continuation of WinSoft International's role as an editor of its own software, as Algoba Systems' Orphea Studio solution complements WinSoft International's existing content creation systems,
- A high potential for future development, through Algoba Systems' positioning as an element with high added value (photo library software solutions and media software libraries, both of which are strong growth markets), its technical know-how (desktop and Oracle-based SaaS solutions) and finally its target markets (corporate, large accounts, institutions or international photo agencies),
- Coherence with the development strategy and international expertise of WinSoft International, who is continuing their development both in the tested markets of the Middle East and in new and developing markets for the company such as the USA, Asia and Europe, where the potential for international development is high.
Above and beyond these strategic factors, however, Mr Blangero was appreciative of the expertise and professional knowledge at the heart of Algoba Systems' management team as well as their experience and client portfolio. Algoba Systems' profitability and management team were also decisive factors in the decision.
Algoba Systems welcomed the alliance with WinSoft International as a partnership with a company who could help them realize their ambition. The founding members of Algoba Systems and its president Bertrand Duval recognized its importance as a means of accompanying their clients internationally. The new alliance permits Algoba Systems to invest heavily in research and development as well as sales and marketing in order to continue to bring client oriented solutions to market.
